New Beginnings (English and Spanish)

180 Program New Beginnings

New Beginnings is for people who are struggling to overcome the pain from their past. The abuse that has never been talked about and the voices from their childhood, saying “you’re worthless” “You’ll never be good enough”, that continue to ring in their ears and hold them in bondage. They cover the pain with drugs, alcohol or any number of more socially acceptable distractions that will help them forget and numb the pain. They blindly walk through the same destructive cycles in their never ending search for acceptance. They want to believe that there is a God who could make the pain go away but don’t see themselves worthy of love.

They’re lost. They’re full of doubt. They’re searching for hope.

There is direction. There is an answer. There is hope.

New Beginnings is an organized approach to empowering people to overcome their past and achieve their unique God-given potential.

Weeks 1 and 2 focus on the significant people, words and events that influenced their lives and molded their inner most thoughts and feelings. Controlling anger, forgiveness and new expectations are the skills that are discovered.

Weeks 3, 4 and 5 review the choices, excuses and attitudes that drag them back into self-destructive behavior. Freedom, responsibility and character are the lessons learned.

Week 6 helps them discover their calling in life and how they can use their God-given talents to fulfill their purpose and live fully engaged lives.

Weeks 7 and 8 lay a solid foundation for moving forward with a hope for today, tomorrow and all eternity.

Each week ends with a goal sheet and six days of homework to reinforce the lesson. These tools help them focus on new strategies for life and establish a fresh pattern of thinking. New Beginnings provides a practical approach to discipleship and shows the students that the Bible provides sound instruction and advice for daily life.
